I went antique mall adventuring with a friend today. She collects Snowflake Blue and has been hunting for the 474. We spied this stack from another booth and hurried over...
WHAT?!? SERIOUSLY?!? I get so irritated when I see prices like this. Ridiculous.
But we did have some success. She found a solid pink 503 in excellent condition. To read more about our antique mall adventure visit my blog.
Are they out of their minds?? $110 for a 3 piece set of Snowflake Blue????? Wow! Do they really think someone is going to pay that much? That irritates me too!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when people price their Pyrex like that...crazy and GREEDY!
ReplyDeleteI agree! That's just greedy!
ReplyDeleteWho would pay that much? Especially when so many pieces can be found in thrift stores for less than $5 if you're lucky...
Oh my gosh! I have 2 out of 3 pieces of that stack and I paid $2 for one and $3 for the other. That would be a whopping $5 invested in it thus far. Sheesh, ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is one of the most outrageous prices I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy!
ReplyDeleteJeez! I hope you said something.

ReplyDeleteI was at a thrift store last sunday that usually has a few pieces of pyrex that are priced in the $8-10 range. They also have a section behind a counter with slightly nicer items and for the first time, i saw some pyrex there. A set of 4 pink gooseberry 441-444....price...wait for it....and this is a THRIFT store....$60!!! really? i think something is only worth what someone will pay for it. and i'm not paying that much!! i'm already avoiding the insanity of the antique stores, but the thrift stores?? maybe i'll just have to stick to estate sales :(
ReplyDeleteGood luck to them I say. Pfft. ;)
ReplyDeletethat is ridiculous with a capital R. Wow.. greedy is putting it mildly. wow.
ReplyDeleteOutrageous! Grrrr
ReplyDeleteThat is ridiculous. My mom just gave me that same exact 3 piece set. I have no luck finding Pyrex at Goodwill or other thrift stores.
