Lately I have been stumbling onto some pretty fun pieces. However, I have noticed that northern california thrift stores have really caught on to pyrex lovers. In fact, I am now finding better pieces and at a LOWER price at antique stores. I know, crazy! Anyways, I'm officially busting out of my kitchen and hoping to get some more display space soon!
happy weekend - Educated...not so Domesticated
Love your display! I think you have some amazing pieces!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing collections displayed together like yours.
ReplyDeleteDo you use any of it, or just admire it?
Thanks - I have several pieces I use, in fact most of my usable pyrex is lower and easier to get! I have been using my spring blossom for years, and the husband loved using my dots bowl for his pancake mix. He now has his only little white pyrex for that, so the dots stay on the shelf!
ReplyDeleteI"m in California too. Do you worry about earthquakes? I try not to stack mine too high, just in case.
ReplyDeletewell typically I live far enough away from major earthquake zones, I figure if the one hits that will apparently break us off from the rest of the country, I'll have more to worry about than my pyrex :) Even so, it has crossed my mind a time or two!
ReplyDeleteLove the turquoise space saver and the dots!
ReplyDeleteLove your Pyrex collection...especially the Dots set!! Also love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteThat is SOME collection!!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your pink Revel pattern mugs! Never seen those before. And your Starburst...and the dots!
ReplyDeleteI'm in Northern California, too, and I totally know what you mean about prices. But, I can still find some good stuff thanks to inconsistent pricing. Guess it just makes the search more fun?
ReplyDeletethanks ladies! and yes lesley, it does make the hunt more fun. I'm also loving the discount days at certain thrift stores where different color tags are different percentages off. It totally makes thrifting like a game for me! Got my primary set from the 40's for $35 that way!
