Turquoise hostess clean up

I recently bought a turquoise hostess at a value village in near by Bellingham,WA. I paid $7.99 for it even tho it has some major scratches and needed some elbow
grease. I wanted to try out the BKF I purchased a while back. I have heard you all mention how great it works and wanted to see for myself. In the past I've used oven cleaner, comet, magic eraser and good old fashioned dish soap with varying results. I was quite impressed with the BKF. So here are some before and after shots!
On a separate trip down south I found these beauties in the cart to be put out at good will. I paid $3.99 for the 473 and the 442 and $2.99 for the 47-. The 2 sandalwood pieces aren't my favourite but they are growing on me. The butterfly gold is also not a favourite but I love that size!

So Dang Pretty!

Every so often, I will do a search on eBay for "Vintage Pink".  I like to see what kind of beautiful things show up in my favorite vintage color.  First I check the "Ending Soonest" items and then I check the "Newly Listed" items.

Sometimes I get lucky.  Not often, but it does happen.  This time, luck was definitely on my side.

I know that Pink Butterprint isn't totally rare and one or two pieces can usually be found on eBay at any given time.  But never at the price I got these at or with free shipping.  I got both of these with the lids for what half of what you would normally pay for one piece!  They had only been listed for 40 minutes when I found them.  It must have been my lucky day!

Now thanks to these two beauties and the piece that my wonderful Sister gave me for Christmas, I have 3 pieces of the elusive Pink Butterprint!

Have a great weekend, Everyone!

Blue doily

I picked up this piece of pyrex today at a local thrift shop. It was only $5.00 and in pretty good shape. At first, I thought the bottom and top were not a match (even though they were taped together). The bottom is a turquoise color and the blue on the lid is more of a navy. But after some research, they are a match. The pattern is blue doily and I believe it is a promotional piece, although there was nothing about it on pyrexlove. Happy shopping to you all!

I Need Your Help Please!

Hello All!
My girlfriend Patricia and I give a set of Pyrex Primary mixing bowls as wedding gifts to members of the Casablanca when they are wed! We have one set nearly complete for an upcoming friend, but we are in dire need of a red 402 bowl to finish the set. Has anyone out there seen a nice one at their local thrift? Or maybe have an extra one they'd like to sell? If so please contact me!

Thanks for your help!

Etsy vs Ebay

Hey everyone!

I have a couple questions about Etsy vs Ebay. Which one do you  guys find easier for selling your pyrex and other vintage wares? I have an ebay account but I've never sold anything via ebay. Are there any Canadians that can offer their advice? Is there anything specifically I should know?
