Recently I've been a bit lazy about posting here but I enjoy seeing everyone's finds so much I want to get back into the sharing action. Here are my finds this month.
From the thrifts:
Estate sales:
Antique Malls:
Church rummage sales:
A fellow collector who was downsizing (something I may need to considering doing...):
And a Pyrex friend who I've been swapping with:
I gifted that same friend a golden acorn and a pink daisy spacesaver that she wanted. Does that move me away from the hoarding end of the spectrum just slightly? ;)
I know I've been acquiring quite a bit (which I am very thankful for) but I feel a strong urge to keep looking for more, especially for turquoise pieces (I don't have a single solid turqoise piece!).
My hubby is starting to become less supportive of this habit...maybe I need to join a 12 step program for Pyrexia...lol

WOW! This post was great as I wipe the drool from my chin. My goodness me. I like to call myself a collector, but I know I lean heavily towards the hoarding end of the spectrum. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteI was buying every piece of Pyrex I came across at a good price. Now I'm having to be more selective. Storage space is at a premium and I'm even ready to sell/trade some pieces for the pattern I've fallen in love with...Spring Blossom! I enjoyed seeing all your finds!! Wonderful collection.
ReplyDeleteWow, you really have been acquiring a lot! Very nice pieces too!! I'm kind of running out of room too, and trying to think of new storage/display solutions for my ever growing collection. I still have the urge to look for more too, and it's really hard to turn down any of it, but I must, lol!! I can see a 12-step program in my future, if I'm not careful!! lol
ReplyDeleteHoarding good!
ReplyDeleteBut only as it relates to Pyrex, lol!
We HAVE to buy it!!!
ReplyDeleteI had been moving toward becoming a hoarder and that's when I realized I had to stop. Honestly, I wasn't enjoying my Pyrex as much because it has become more about the thrill of the hunt than what I was bringing home.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I realized that I had too much when I didn't have room for it and was putting it in boxes. And now I am in this stuck place trying to figure out what to do with the pieces I can't use or display. Ebay? Craigslist? Trade? I think I'm leaning toward having a vintage themed yard sale.
