They do show some wear and the large bowl has a small chip on the spout. I usually don't like to buy Pyrex with damage but at $6 for the set we couldn't pass it by! These will be my "beater" bowls. I was about to give up on Goodwill since I have never found anything there before.
This must have been our consolation prize for an otherwise unsuccessful day of Pyrex hunting. In other stores, we came across several things on my "wish list" but they were asking way more than I wanted to pay. I hope all of you had good luck this weekend!
GREAT find! I've been having a lot of trouble lately finding pyrex. It's either way to expensive or way too beat up. It's so frustrating! Anyway, enjoy your new bowls! They look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful score! I haven't had overly good luck with Goodwill where I live, but my mom, who lives in a much larger city, just scored a full set of the 401-404 Butterfly Gold mixing bowls for $14! I prefer yours though - sucker for aqua/white!
