Last week I went up to Olympia area to pick up my daughter from a week with friends. I thought... great! I'll go early and hit up Value Village and the Goodwill. VV ended up not having a stitch of anything worth anything.
Goodwill... this is where the horror begins! Oh... the humanity of it... so so sad. I couldn't believe that this one store didn't have any pyrex that wasn't on it's last leg. It ALL was so badly damaged. Total shock.
I was so depressed. :(

ReplyDeleteSAD!!
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad to see such abused Pyrex! I have found the thrifts so empty of anything worth buying lately....ugh! Oh well it's not like I don't have plenty of stuff!
ReplyDeleteThese break my heart. Is there a way to remove the paint to just make it a white dish?
ReplyDeleteWhile reading this post there were violins screeching in my head...
ReplyDeleteThey would make great planters! :)
ReplyDeleteI found myself thinking... well, maybe I could fix it! Ha! And what else was sad... they were priced the same as GOOD or MINT Pyrex found at thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteThey were priced the same as good Pyrex? Really? They have a fat nerve! These should really just be put in the garbage, nobody in their right mind would buy them! VV is on to us and they have been putting their prices up, very close to what an antique vendor would ask. They seem to forget that they are a thrift shop...
ReplyDeleteso sad. i actually saw one like that in an antique store and it was labeled "rare marbled pyrex". i didn't know whether to laugh or vomit. haha
ReplyDeletebwuahhhahhhahhhaaahhh! "rare marbled pyrex" Give me a break! hahaha...
ReplyDeleteGW and VV is very inconsistent, however VV seems to be the most spendy. :(
