It's Getting Better......

A lot of my fellow bloggers have been complaining of a Pyrex drought in their area.  There hasn't been a total drought in my neck of the woods.  You can still find a good amount of Spring Blossom, Butterfly Gold, and Town & Country.  You know, the less desirable patterns to collect.  Now, don't get me wrong. I have a few pieces of each of these patterns and I do enjoy them.  But what I have been jonesing for have been some of the more retro colors and patterns that I collect and can't ever seem to get enough of.  You can imagine how happy I was to come across these beauties this week....
I found this at an antique mall and was pretty stoked because it was just the color I needed to complete this set
On the way home, I stopped at the Goodwill that is in the town that I grew up in.  I always have pretty good luck at this particular Goodwill.  It is in a very small town about 30 minutes from the next town.  Plus, it has the absolute best prices that I have ever come across in any thrift or second hand store.
I got the red Cinderella 444 for $2.99 and the orange 442 Cinderella for $1.99.  Both are from the Friendship set.  I picked up the bird print 443 at the Piccadilly Flea Market around Christmas.  Only one more to go to complete the set!

Have any of you found that the smaller the town the Goodwill is in, the better the prices?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  3. Wow those are wonderful! You are pretty darn lucky. I'm really hoping that once my fiance and I are done building our house I will be able to find some nice pieces like yours.
