Delphite Blue

Just wanted to quickly share this Pyrex find!
Haven't found any interesting Pyrex lately, so I just about pounced on this yesterday. It's a Delphite blue Golden Grape small bowl.

It appears that it was part of a chip n dip set...this would have been the dip bowl that went into the bracket above the larger chip bowl.

Just thought I'd share! Coming soon to the Pyrex Pantry! As always, Collective members are welcome to offer trades.

Welcome to Texas

I had one of THOSE days today. The kind that I already wanted to start over by 9 am. Coming home to these lovely new dishes made it so much better!

Everything arrived safe and sound in both Texas and California. I love when things work out! What a great way to end the day.

My rapidly growing collection

I am starting to run out of room... I will have to start the art of "stacking" here soon.... my husband admitted to me last night that he is "worried".... not because of the money I am spending (not spending much!) but because of how much I have found so quickly... I wonder what my kitchen will look like three months from now?! ;-)

Spending a Birthday Searching for Pyrex

and not even my birthday.

All our thrift stores nearby have caught on and are pricing Pyrex way TOO HIGH! We don't have 50% off Goodwill days either. And the gas prices don't make it easy to randomly search for far away stores.

Over the weekend, my hubby graciously agreed to spend his birthday at an auction just for Pyrex. Yes, he's a keeper. I went home with almost everything. I spent a little too much on some pieces and got some great deals on others. I hate to let some Butterfly Gold pieces go to a higher bidder. I was sad to let it go but I know I will have another chance.

I got 3 sets of nested bowls and more. I even got my divided Barbed Wire dish! This one has been high on my list. I also won the Golden Grapes dip bowl to go with the chip bowl I got two weeks ago. I love when things come together. Don't worry, we celebrated my hubby's birthday the next day.

Newbie to the Collective!

Hi there, this is my first post to the Pyrex Collective II. I've been following (and drooling) all of the gorgeous pieces for quite a while now and I finally decided it was time to join you!

My name is Tara and I blog over at Scarborough Seashells.

For my first post I decided to share with you some of my most recent aquisistions.

These are currently the pieces I have waiting to find a home in my quickly shrinking cupboards. The pieces were all found over the last two weekends.

Promotional seemed to be the word of the day yesterday. I'd never seen any of these patterns before, so I promptly came home and hit up Pyrex Love to see what I could learn about them.

I found these two 045 2 1/2 qt. Golden Grapes(?) oval casseroles. ($5 for the lidded one, $4 for the non lidded)

The 575-B 2 qt. Golden Pine rectangle casserole WITH it's gold leafed cover. ($5)

This 043 1 1/2 qt. oval casserole which I think is called "Bramble". ($4) No lid and some paint scratches, but as you can see by my curtains in the background, a perfect match for my diningroom.

This Spring Blossom (Pyrex by Corning) butter tub- which had no lid and I definitely want the lid so I will have to be on the lookout! ($3)

And this tiny yellow bowl ($2), which reminds me of some of the larger hostess pieces I've seen, but I've no idea to which set it belongs. Any guesses?
