Hunting for Pyrex

So we went to a wedding for a friend of mine in Lake Charles and tried to Pyrex shop along the way. Lake Charles in general was a giant dud. I found mostly corelle pieces and maybe 2-3 overpriced pieces.

I had lost all hope of finding anything until my hubby spotted a random flea market on the side of the road. It was raining, 9 am on a Sunday morning, and looked at little shady. So why not? LOL

Found some AWESOME pieces.

The Pueblo is finally mine! I really wanted this in time for Halloween but I will take it!

Pueblo
$8 bucks!!!!

For Trade
I also restocked my pieces for trade.

Let me know if you want to trade. See my trade album.

Anyone? Anyone? Anyone up for a trade?

Hello there!
I've been making good use of my Thanksgiving vacation by thifting and purging my Pyrex collection. I have posted some pictures on Flickr that show my items up for trade. Please visit my site to see all of them. My wishlist is on my trade album.

I have made some awesome trades lately that I need to post. I am so excited about how much my collection has grown in just under one year.

Hope you have found some great items!

Weekend Haul

After going to a monthly flea market that was a major bust, I was bummed out. Luckily, Jim encouraged me to look for more shops along the hour drive home. He was right.

This was the weekend haul:
Ready to be washed!

Two of our major scores:
36 pieces for $30!
JAJ Chelsea Dinnerware

Full set for $25. Amazing! I was thinking of paying $85 for a less quality set, a few days ago.

Yellow Butterprint Set

With our thrifting plus my trades, I had a huge addition to my collection. And several pieces to trade.

What did you find this weekend?

Pyrex Draws First Blood

I came home to two packages on my door step.

One in perfect condition:

The other in a million pieces:

It hurt, literally. I was so excited I cut my finger pulling off the bubble wrap. I officially hate UPS.

One less friendship piece in the world.

Welcome to Texas

I had one of THOSE days today. The kind that I already wanted to start over by 9 am. Coming home to these lovely new dishes made it so much better!

I said goodbye to these:
045 Golden Hearts

043 Meadow

and hello to these:
Opal Divided Dish

441 Golden Grape

Awesome trade with my new friend Leslie who also sent me the coolest video of her collection!

Everything arrived safe and sound in both Texas and California. I love when things work out! What a great way to end the day.

I have added more items to my trade set on Flickr. Contact me if you are interested.

Anyone from Houston...anyone? Anyone?

I'm hoping to find fellow pyrex collectors to trade with in the Houston area. I have done one successful trade through the mail but I was a nervous wreck about the possibility of our precious cargo breaking.

Just curious if I had anyone close in the area.

Happy thrifting!

A Successful Swap!

I needed one more piece of this Primary Colors set...the red 402 bowl. I found the other three pieces at an estate sale. Thanks to this site, I was able to do a trade with Jennadesigns!

I had some Spring Blossom she wanted, and she had a gorgeous red 402 and some Turquoise Butterprint she didn't need. It was perfect!!

After a few emails back and forth, it was a done deal!

So happy to have this complete set. I may just have to look at it awhile before I decide what to do with it. :)
