Patience Pays off

I have been looking and waiting for the turquoise hostess bowl to reveal its self and today I finally came across one at a local antique mall. I paid $22 for it but it's in great shape!! I'm so excited! If anyone has a lid they want to part with for this bowl I'd be grateful! I'm willing to trade or pay for it!
But on the flip side it hit me today that I have a lot of Pyrex going on in my house right now and I should downsize. So if there is anyone in the Vancouver (Langley) area that is looking for some Pyrex Im your girl! I have too much to list here but to give you an idea, I have : flamingo pink, lime green, black gooseberry, town& country, butter print, square flowers, crazy daisy, early American , 3 of the 4 primary bowls (missing yellow) and the list goes on. I'd prefer to sell as I am not working right now and could use the money. I'd be willing to ship to anyone who is willing to take the risk as well!

  2. Fun! Is it marked #025 on the bottom, or #515 or #525?

I ask because the turquoise came in both a chip & dip (with no lid) as well as a "Hostess " dish with a lid. I *think* the numbers are different...

  3. Hello:

I am wondering if you might be willing to split up your primary set. I recently finished piecing together a full primary set for my sister's birthday. The first time they used the blue 401 her husband dropped it on the tile counter and it broke into smithereens! I don't know who was the most heartbroken: her, him or me. So now I'm looking for another blue 401.

I live in Victoria but my sister is in Vancouver so hopefully we could work something out.

    Thanks very much,
    Nicole

    1. If KT doesn't want to split up the primary set - I think I have an extra blue 401 that I would be willing to trade. I'm just in the process of moving to Vancouver so my Pyrex is all packed up but if you are interested let me know and I'll dig it out in two weeks! Thanks!

  4. I'm in moving to Vancouver in 2 weeks and would be interested in buying your black gooseberry and maybe some of the butterprint. I also need the red primary but if you didn't want to split up the set I could trade you an extra yellow one for something else. Let me know if you are interested!

  6. Nicole & Allison,

I would consider splitting the set, but I am just waiting to hear back from some one who wand all 3 and if she doesn't take them, I will split them up.

  7. Just found your site! I love vintage pyrex too! I don't really collect like you, but have aquired some.
I actually use my pyrex wedding gifts from 1969, yes I have dated myself! The only ones I don't use yet, is the square ice box ones in aqua. The hunt is always fun!

  8. Hi KT

I'm wondering what you decided to do with your primary set - sell it intact or split it up.

Can you let me know so that I can either keep hunting for the blue or make arrangements to get yours?

    Thanks,
    Nicole
