Hello fellow Pyrex fanatics! It has been a while since I have been this excited about my Pyrex finds. I actually feel like all I've been doing lately is complaining about how bad the Pyrex drought has been and commenting on my Goodwill conspiracy theory. Well, maybe I am speaking too soon, but I think things may be turning around out here on the Oregon coast. I do feel like I'm paying a bit more for pieces then I did in the past, but when I love a piece and its going in my collection, its totally worth it. Here are my 3 new finds:
A 2 quart promotional piece from 1959: Behold the Golden Tulip! Not in the best shape, but I really love this pattern
My favorite find because of the color: Medallion, a promotional piece from 1962. This one is so hard to photograph, but it is a beautiful minty green color.
And finally, this gem here is called Golden Classic, and is a promotional casserole from 1962. It is 2 1/2 quarts, which I think is such a great size for casseroles. I don't feel like the picture does this one justice either, it is such a vibrant yellow in person. I paid $6.99 for this one, but I couldn't resist!
Lets hope the luck continues!
Happy thifting!

I just went 0-4 today so I'm happy to see that it's picked up somewhere! I have none of these and am living vicariously through you. Actually, I'm -1 today because I broke an orange dots bowl. I've got to get my head back in the game!
ReplyDeleteLove the Medallion.. wow So much Pyrex....so little time..LOL
ReplyDeleteWonderful finds! And $6.99 is a great price for a promo like that. We have a thrift here that charges $8.99 for most pieces, even common ones in ok shape, so you did great. :)
ReplyDeleteThat Golden Classic makes me so happy!
ReplyDeleteThose pieces are so stylish! Hard to believe they 50 years old and look so good. if only, I could say the same!
