Just thought I'd pop in really quick to show you my new "holiday display" of Pyrex! Before this, some of you may remember, I had all pinks & turquoise on my grandmother's hutch. I decided a few days ago that it would be a shame if I didn't break out the festive holiday Pyrex and display it for a while.
My favorite, as always, is the green "Merry Christmas" bowl in the center there. I love it!
But also featured is some Friendship, which can look very Christmasy in the right setting, and some Snowflake. I also brought out some of the Thanksgiving colors, like my Americana set and some Autumn Harvest. Finally, the Starburst at top makes for the perfect tree-topper-like crown, doesn't it? Reminds me of the star of Bethlehem. It's very cheery! I'll have a hard time taking it down come 2013...
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I can't wait to see some of your Pyrex at Thanksgiving posts :)
Cheers,
Heather @ Lark & Lola

ReplyDeleteLove how you incorporated so many fun patterns!
ReplyDeleteI love it! And yes, I noticed the Starburst 'tree topper' way up there--perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I was just thinking of what else I could display besides my snowflakes and snowflake garland. Great ideas of making other reds, etc. work with Christmas! Jealous of your Merry Christmas bowl ;)

Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful. I just left a Autumn Harvest bowl at the GW for 1.99 because I thought I didn't like the pattern....but when I see a full set I cringe at my choice. Darn!

I'm so jealous of your collection! Where do you find it all? I have one green bowl with white flowers but I'd love some turquoise.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I am extra thankful for the Christmas bowl, it's true!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thanksgiving :)
this is beautiful! i mostly have bold orange, red, and olive green pieces, which are perfect for a harvest display, but do not really imbue a winter-christmas feel... you are giving me some great display ideas though!
