Patience Pays Off

On Friday, I headed out the door with a list of 8 sales that I wanted to go to.  I managed to get through all of them within an hour and a half so I thought I would cruise through a busy area of town and hit whatever ones I came across.  Well, that was a bust!  No Pyrex or other vintage goodies to be found.  As I was heading toward the freeway home, I caught sight of bright yellow sign in the distance.  Whats that?  Could it say....?  YES!  Estate Sale!

This estate sale was completely unadvertised.  I double checked Craigslist and our local paper when I got home and it was not listed at all.  I believe that worked to my benefit.
So you gotta believe that it is going to be a good sale when you spot three refrigerator dishes with lids IN THE GARAGE!  And did I mention that they were a dollar apiece?  I bought all three, even the sad DWD'd red primary.  I needed another lid so I couldn't leave it behind.  After finding these babies, I couldn't get into the kitchen fast enough.

So as I entered the kitchen, I was hit with sad disappointment at all of the almost empty cupboards.  All that was left were some boring wineglasses and clear drinking glasses.  But then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted all of this displayed on the built-ins in the dining room
All but one came with lids and all are absolutely perfect.  Should I also tell you that they were a mere $2 apiece?

Don't hate me.

The guy running the sale asked me if I collected these "dishes".  Oh if he only knew.

I have decided I LOVE unadvertised estate sales.

Until next time....

Erica
