Scores in my Pyrex Hunting!

Hi everyone!  It's been a while since I've shared any pyrex scores with you.  I've slowed my purchases down to the patterns I truly want to use and display in my home.  I plan to put the rest on Craigslist & Etsy in the near future...just have to get most of it out of storage from our move :)

I found the Pink Gooseberry beauties at an antique store that was having an open house sale.  Both only cost me $7 and change!  I have the 441 cinderella bowl that I convinced my grandma to let me have.  I replaced the bowl with another that was not as lovely and also gave her $10 because that's what I'd have paid for it anywhere else.

I found the entire chip and dip set of the scroll bowl was in a tiny thrift store when I visited my dad.  I left the 444 bowl because I already have it.  The bowl cost me 50 cents and the owner GAVE ME THE BRACKET FOR FREE!!!  Can you sense my excitement?  I don't think I want to keep the set, but I do want the bracket for my Ivy chip and dip set.

I've used my 8x8 Butterfly baker nearly daily.  I love this size.  It is perfect for everything.  I also wanted to share my awesome cookbook find.  We cooked out of this cookbook as kids and I've tried to sneak it away from my mom for several years.  She won't let me have hers, so I've searched relentlessly for years!  I had given up on ever finding one, but a few months ago I found this reproduced copy at Goodwill.  It is an exact replica of the original that we cooked from as kids!  Did you get the opportunity to use this cookbook as you were younger?  The cupcake cones are a favorite at our house.

I'll be back soon!  You can find me here with my quilting and thrifting goodness!

  1. The cookbook! I still have mine from the 1960's (oh, does that ever date me!)! I'd love to find that reproduction, my copy is literally falling apart and I'm almost afraid to open it any more. My favourite recipes were the sugar cookies and the butterscotch brownies.

  7. First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!
