Etsy vs Ebay

Hey everyone!

I have a couple questions about Etsy vs Ebay. Which one do you  guys find easier for selling your pyrex and other vintage wares? I have an ebay account but I've never sold anything via ebay. Are there any Canadians that can offer their advice? Is there anything specifically I should know?

  1. KaTie, I don't have any tips about selling at either place but there is a calculator so you can figure out how much you will make from a sale!

  3. Actually I should have told you I like to sell on Etsy better but I do still sell on Ebay occasionally when I think there will be more interest for something or it doesn't fit into the Etsy parameters!

but i don't know anything about pyrex! LOL

  4. Definitely Etsy. I've sold a few things on eBay, but the pieces never seem to go for as much as when I sell them on Etsy. Not that I price them high, I just ask what I think is fair. Sometimes it takes a few weeks, but eventually the Pyrex sells to someone for the price I wanted!

  6. I prefer Etsy, because you aren't robbed blind by the Ebay fees. The only downfall of Etsy though is that it doesn't get even a fraction of as much traffic as Ebay does.
