mystery bowls

Today, in honor of national thrift store day - I went thrifting.  Sorry for the non-pyrex popping up in the photo, they were just a part of today's haul.  Anyways, back to the pyrex - picked up this verde casserole in perfect condition.  And then there are these bowls.  They looked like pyrex, they felt like pyrex, and yes, the bottom reassured me that they are.  The question is - what are they?  Any ideas?  I have been trying to find something on them, but my knowledge of dinnerware is not too great.
I love when checking out today with these bowls the nice young man let me know that I had an odd amount.  Now, that doesn't seem strange to me considering I'm at a thrift store, and I just picked up everything on the shelf.  But apparently, this is a problem for some people.  I surely wasn't going to leave one bowl behind - especially not for .49 cents!

I got lucky tonight and found some Pyrex bargains!

Poor thing...

I keep finding all these bowls that used to be colored. Poor things. Am I the only one who sees this quite often?

Recent Finds

I haven't really had time to do much Pyrex hunting lately but in the last week I've found several nice items.

These are the first English Pyrex I have found. I don't necessarily love the pattern but for $2.99 & $3.99 I couldn't resist the chance to own some English Pyrex.

I really love the vibrant  blue in this dish. When I bought it there was no lid but I am always stockpiling them so I'm sure I have one that will fit. It was $3.03 at the Goodwill.

A complete set of the Town & Country Cinderella bowls-- I don't love this pattern but I have been looking for some of these cinderella bowls for everyday use so I can preserve my Butterprint ones better. For $9.89 they were a good buy at the Goodwill.

Another Pyrex sighting on TV?!

Is that three pieces of the Primary set I see on iCarly?
I've seen this episode countless times thanks to my three kids, but I never noticed it before...

golden pine luck

So a couple of days ago I found this golden pine casserole dish
for $2 at a thrift store
now typically I'm not huge on winter patterns, but I couldn't pass this piece up
I already imagined myself using it this December at a holiday party
Now for $2, it did not come with a lid, but I was ok with that.
Until, I was looking up the pattern at home
and saw that the lid also had the golden pattern
on the lid!  What?  Too awesome.
However, I was not going to spend a ton on shipping to buy one on etsy!
So, it was just going to have to remain lidless.
Until today!
While antiquing I spied this lid, just lying there, needing a casserole bottom!
Sold - and pretty excited about it.
No shipping = happy me!
Really, I think it is quite lovely.
Happy Sunday indeed!

Cleary Pyrex

I am not normally a fan of what I like to call the Cleary Pyex dishes, but this one was so lovely and seems to be very old...

Can anyone tell me if this beauty is rare or old? Based on the Pyrex book it seems very old, but I love hearing from you all.

Smiles,
