I found this at an antique mall and was pretty stoked because it was just the color I needed to complete this set
On the way home, I stopped at the Goodwill that is in the town that I grew up in. I always have pretty good luck at this particular Goodwill. It is in a very small town about 30 minutes from the next town. Plus, it has the absolute best prices that I have ever come across in any thrift or second hand store.
I got the red Cinderella 444 for $2.99 and the orange 442 Cinderella for $1.99. Both are from the Friendship set. I picked up the bird print 443 at the Piccadilly Flea Market around Christmas. Only one more to go to complete the set!
Have any of you found that the smaller the town the Goodwill is in, the better the prices?
Hope you all have a great weekend!

I found a 'Snowflake' space saver last night at the Goodwill that I could not pass up - it's still shiny but has food stains on it that I wasn't able to scrub off. I'll keep trying.
Does anyone have a spare space saver lid they'd be willing to trade or sell? Let me know. I have two of these now and no lid. Thanks.
Hi all! This is my very first post here, though I've been commenting for awhile. My sweet husband picked up this little green casserole for me for $4 today, minus lid. It's a one quart dish, and it says that it's a 473. My question is, is it a verde or is it "vintage" (the one with the grapes on the lid)? How would I know? There's another number on the bottom but I can't tell what it signifies. It's 23 or 29 or something, I can't remember.

I haven't posted here in a loooong time, but wanted to share some quick Pyrex eye candy. Just sweet blue snowflakes. Nicely priced at $5/each at my the Lafayette Flea Market in Lafayette, Colorado. (Please disregard the rather cloudy flower water ;>). There are some other fun thrifted goodies where these were originally posted on my blog - if you are so inclined you can find it all here. Behold the beautiful new addition to my Pyrex collection....a Yellow Rainbow Stripes #402. She is as pretty as can be and only set me back $10.00 at an antique store. Yippee!!!
If the weather wasn't so bad, I'd take her outside and photograph her in the sunshine. But for now, she will just have to hold some yummy salt water taffy fresh from the Oregon Coast.
She makes me smile.

My husband brought home the Colonial Mist 404 and I got the Old Town butter dish from a mobile home community rummage sale. It was only 50 cents! The Desert Dawn yellow 024 and lid were a steal from Goodwill for 99 cents FOR THE SET! Crazy.
I got this HUGE 9" x 13" Snowflake Blue casserole dish and this 8" x 8" lime green square browning pan at the same Goodwill on the same day! All of us Pyrex maniacs know that doesn't happen very often!
And let's not forget about the Butterprint refrigerator dishes and Family Flair dishes I blogged about earlier in the week.
Wow, what a week, huh? Hopefully this is only the beginning.......

Pyrex Family Flair dishes. I found 4 Yellow Petal (formerly called Quince) dinner plates and 4 salad plates and 4 Sea Isle (formerly called Chinese Grass) dinner plates and 4 salad plates. Looking for more online I have found that these dishes are pretty rare and hard to come by so I feel really lucky to have found these. They are in excellent condition. They aren't all that fancy but I think they will be my holiday/dinner party plates. Now I have something new to search for while out thrifting/antiquing.
Happy Tuesday, Pyrex Friends!

We now have a Pyrex In-Pyrex Out policy and it is stressing me out. Sure, it was easy in the beginning to sell, trade or gift those Spring Blossom, Golden Butterfly or Town & Country patterns that seem to be a little more readily available. Now that I am down to promotional, rare, primaries, pink and turquoise... the passing along is getting harder. I try to only buy In The Wild at thrift stores or auction. When I saw these (bottom 5) coming up at a local auction, I was heartbroken that I would not be in town to get a chance to bid on them.
So, how do I now have them in my possession you ask? My friend of over 20 years artfully bid on my behalf and procured the bottom five (full set) for only $37.50. That is the most I have ever paid for Pyrex but worth it, don't you think? As for my friend, I scored her an awesome pink vintage rotary telephone as thanks. Precious.
